| ■Japanese Black Bear Attraction |
The Japanese Black Bear is adept at utilizing trees for many purposes such as making a platform in the branches to sleep on, hibernating in hollow trees and it is better at climbing trees than the Brown Bear. The entire back of the stage is made from toughened glass, and along with the 580m high vantage point and giant katsura trees you can get a great view of the bear’s dexterity and balance whilst log crossing and searching for food. You can also see the amazing swinging ability of the bears. This is also the first time in Japan contactless training has been employed to further demonstrate the bear’s learning capabilities.
